Alicia

A documentary and impact campaign about having to grow up in child welfare services. A portrait of an institutionalized childhood.

Goal

The campaign wants to lay bare the transgenerational effects of emotional abandonment by parents and within youth care by telling the story of Alicia, a girl in Dutch Child Welfare, increasingly losing a perspective on a loving home.

1. Recognize the hurt and hopelessness 2./3. Stimulate thinking on how to give children better, more understanding and more stable care situations 4. Foster empathy for the anger and sadness of children stuck in a situation without perspective
