Invocation For Hope

Invocation for Hope is an immersive site-specific installation. Visitors, who are invited to walk through the installation, first pass through a neatly arranged dead forest of fire-blackened trees before they enter a living, green forest clearing.
Goal
Invocation for Hope encourages people to reflect on our fragile, interconnected relationship with the natural world. It imagines a hopeful future, after collapse, in which humans live in harmony with nature, and asks of us how our understanding of nature must change to get there.
Target audience(s)
Anyone who interacts with nature, in this case the museumgoer
Main activities
Stimulate people to consider their relationship with nature and inspire care for it that doesn’t rely on humans being dominant
